State Guardsmen Begin Long Grind At Training Camp

Camp Beauregard, La., Oct. 29 -(Special)- The sky was overcast and temperature dropped to about 70 today when Michigan’s National Guardsmen marched a mile from their quarters to the drill grounds to begin a rigid army training program.

The training schedule outlined for the next 13 weeks calls for eight hours of training daily.

Col. William Haze, commander of 126th Infantry, today conferred with Gen. Irving A. Fish, 32nd division commander, regarding several promotions in the ranks of officers expected this week.1
