Guardsmen Start Moving to New Louisiana Camp

Alexandria, La., Jan. 21 – (Special) – Michigan and Wisconsin units of the 32nd division today began transfer of equipment from Camp Beauregard to Camp Livingston, new $12,000,000 cantonment located 14 miles north of Alexandria. The movement had been previously scheduled to start Monday.

The 107th quartermaster regiment, comprised of 506 officers and men, was the first unit to start moving. The regiment is commanded by Col. John C. R. Hanley, of Chilton, Wis.

The 107th medical regiment, including 364 officers and men, commanded by Col. John Buck of Detroit, will move to the new camp Wednesday, division headquarters announced. 1
