Roy was born May 2, 1917. He married Marie Elizabeth Ryke in 1942 and they had two sons. They separated after six years of marriage.¹

He later married Eleanor Crawford. Roy died January 11, 1996 and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Muskegon, MI, alongside Eleanor, who died in 1997.2

Roy’s brother, George Borgeson, was in Company G, also.
